An extension of The Healthy Dancer® Summer Intensive, this 4-week winter intensive will connect you with like-minded dancers who are interested in dismantling dancer diet culture. Learn how to eat without the noise of a culture that leaves you feeling guilty and burnt out. The focus is on setting boundaries, challenging unrealistic ideals, and starting the New Year with confidence. You’ll work alongside Rachel, utilizing exclusive resources, sessions, and workshops.
Designed to supplement your current winter dance plans, The Healthy Dancer® Winter Intensive is 100% virtual. This 4-week intensive dives into the first two core values of The Healthy Dancer® framework: Dismantle Dancer Diet Culture and Make Peace with Food. Together, we’ll learn how to build (and honor) boundaries while cultivating sustainable habits both in your everyday life and in the studio. Work alongside your dance peers to:

Why The Healthy Dancer?
Dancers are vulnerable to perfectionism, disordered eating, eating disorders, and burnout. It’s critical that dancers, dance educators, and dance parents cultivate an environment that supports sustainable habits around food and body image.
There is, however, an abundance of misinformation surrounding both topics in the dance world. Seeking support from sound sources is recommended. As a part of a multi-disciplinary approach, dancers can seek support from credentialed Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDs or RDNs) or Licensed Dietitian Nutritionists (LDs or LDNs).

What’s The Timeline?
Once you register, you’ll receive your welcome packet and a preliminary schedule. The program begins on November 25th and ends on December 20th.
How Does it work?
Upon registration, you will receive a welcome packet with your workshop and masterclass schedule. Beginning at the end of November, you will receive weekly emails that contain all the necessary resources for each week’s classes. Upon registration, you will also have access to 24/7 email support and a complimentary copy of The Healthy Dancer® Survival Guide: Nutcracker and Winter Workshop Edition, which will help you prepare for any other intensives you attend.
Who is it for?
Dancers of all ages, all backgrounds, and all levels who are interested in building sustainable habits that support a lifelong dance career. Whether you’re currently enrolled in a Winter Intensive or not, The Healthy Dancer® is a virtual supplemental program that is designed to elevate your training and optimize your well-being.
How much does it cost?
The entire 4-week program is $100.00. Early-bird registration opens in September at a discounted rate of $75.00. Yup, I know… this is probably the least expensive winter intensive out there!
What’s Your Refund Policy?
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. I want you to be happy, and therefore, if you feel that this program is not for you, refunds are possible. But you’ll have to request your refund within the first 3 days of us working together.
My Winter performance schedule is packed! How will I have time for this?
Due to the busy nature of most intensives, much of The Healthy Dancer® Winter Intensive is completed on your own time. However, a flexible approach allows you to utilize this program as the perfect supplement to your Holiday season. Weekly workbooks offer activities to help unwind from a busy dance day. All workshops are pre-recorded and accessible at a time that works best for you (sip your favorite tea and tune in from the comfort of your bedroom!). For any live sessions missed (except office hours), later access will be provided via recordings.
