Parents and teachers, you are our dancers’ best role models
The topics of food and body image are sensitive ones for dancers.
Whether or not you’re familiar with the dance world, navigating your child’s passion for dance is not easy when food and body are concerned. A dancer’s relationship with food is often shaped in the studio. And many of our experiences in childhood contribute to the body image we develop as adults.
But as a dance parent and OR as a dance educator, you can play an integral role in making sure your dancer is building a supportive relationship with both their plates and their bodies. Yup! There are measures that you can take to help your dancer avoid the impacts of triggering food and body comments.
Your role as a dance parent is fundamental to your dancer’s goals, and I’m here to help!
The Healthy Dancer® Mastermind happens twice a year and I want you to grab a seat. The next round registers in early 2023. But don’t worry, if you cannot be there, all registrants will have access to the replay! In this mastermind, I will provide you with three actionable tools to support your child’s relationship with both food and body image:
- Food flexibility
- Food and Body Neutrality
- Gentle Nutrition
You’ll also walk away with a guided workbook and over 10 dancer-friendly recipes. As a dancer, dietitian, and parent, I’m here to support you. This mastermind will open the doors to The Healthy Dancer® community so that you can support your dancer’s goals for the long term.
